good vs bad

I just want to confirm that what they say about one or two bad things off-setting numerous good things is true. Within the past 4 hours, about 9-10 good things have happened to me- mainly seeing or talking to friends. But one or two bad things have ruined the night. Now granted, those bad things just happened to be the blocks that caused the tower to fall, but still, what started out as a great night, with a long list of good things, was upset by a much shorter list of bad things.

It's a good thing I'm going to Indy tomorrow.....
