SB '05 DR

Spring Break 2005, of to the Dominican Republic with Taylor University!! I am leaving shortly and am so excited. I really don't know what all is going on in my mind because I have been too busy getting packed and ready and making sure I have everything to stop and let this all sink in: in a little over 24 hours I will be in the DR (we have an overnight layover). Anyway, please be praying for me and our team!
In other news, I should report that I have an internship for this coming fall. I will be working back home at Marathon, in the IT department. I am so excited but not a big fan of missing out on life here at school for a semester, but this is an incredible opportunity.
Well, I have to head out. Pardon any spelling errors that occurred in my rushed writing of this. Love y'all. Happy Easter!

I am a fanatic

According to dictionary.com, a fan is "a person marked or motivated by an extreme, unreasoning enthusiasm, as for a cause". For me, the enthusiasm is extreme, overpowering, intense. The cause: sports. The crack of a bat brings me joy, a ball on the court sends chills of excitement up my spine, a ball kicked across an open field and into the net brings me delight.

Yes, I truly have an "unreasoning" emotional reaction to watching sports being played. It can't be described but one thing I do know: I never want it to change!!

I'm 00010100!!!

Yes, I am a geek and yesterday was my birthday. It was a wonderful day:
  • nice weather (ok, so it wasn't the greatest, but hey...there was some sun)

  • great new outfit (thanks family!!)

  • a quiz which required none of the reading (just a memory verse learned in 5 mins.)

  • lunch with a great friend (I love you Debo!)

  • a pleased class because of my provision of cake (it was like elementary :D)

  • extra credit just because it was my b'day (gotta love Dr. Aguilar!)

  • authentic Dominican dinner with my spring break team (sun, bugs and work- this should be fun :P)

  • a intramural basketball win, without Russ (this one was for you!! Russell Athletics:7-0!)

  • a wonderful talk with my Father (Abba!)

Yes, it was a good day. Life has just been good. That's all folks! (PS: Today is International Women's Day- women, we are special and loved!! Don't let anyone tell you otherwise!)

Golf I like

Yes, I have a new game to play in my free time, or play instead of homework. My dear younger brother referred me to this site. Check it out and try not to get hooked.

Nothing

So, I really have nothing interesting to say. I just happen to have about 30 mins. until my next class and don't want to go back to the dorm. So I'm here, blogging.

Do you ever have a day that just is. Nothing good, nothing bad; just a day. They are so boring!! I mean, if it's a bad day, at least it was interesting and you have something to complain about. Of course, if it's a good day, you have reason to smile and things to tell your friends. But nothing days- they are so boring and not fun to live. They can be forgotten since nothing happens on them. I would almost rather have a bad day than a nothing day. At least then it would feel like things were going on in my life.

Well, I guess this blog can record this nothing day so that it is not forgotten. Hope you all have good one!!
