No more computer programming

Well, that isn't all true, but here is why I say that

  • I am no longer a computer science major.
  • I have about 7 more "computer" classes, only about half are programming.
  • My job in IT has just ended
  • I am going into counseling

And that is why I say, no more computer programming for me!

Exciting news

Wow, has it really been a month since my last blog?! Sorry! I guess one reason I haven't written is that I have had nothing interesting going on in my life. Just work. But now I have something to talk about.

First off, I have been taking guitar lessons for the past month to learn to play finger-picking style; notes, rather than chords. It has been exciting and fun. Secondly, I only have 8 more days of work, including a half day this Friday!! I have really enjoyed working here, but I am not ready to work 8-5, and definitely not in front of a computer screen all day programming. I'm really excited about my two week break before heading back to school.

The next exciting news is that I am visiting Taylor this weekend to see all of my friends again!! AND "The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe" comes out on Friday. While I can't go see it on Thursday night/ Friday morning, I am going with a good friend. And I have lunch planned with my roommate from last year. This will be a great weekend.

Lastly I have been asked to help out with the stats for the high school girls b'ball team. I get to be back on the sidelines recording stats. They use the same software, so it is easy for me to use and will help me stay sharp so I can get my job back at Taylor. While I don't get paid here, it is still enjoyable. I get to watch all of the talented girls, including the next outstanding Roethlisberger athlete.
